SARKISYAN - CHILD MURDERER

From CBC Azerbaijan
At any period of history, killing children is considered the most unacceptable practice, the culmination of brutality and vandalism. Now the international community sees Zahra’s face, but chooses to keep silent. Not a single state, or an international organization call upon Armenia that targeting an innocent baby is in total contradiction with all the written and unwritten laws. The world’s indifference made Azerbaijani children to protest towards this brutal act.
Approximately, 2 million children have been victimized in wars, and those who are wounded, injured, and subjected to violence are more than that. In war-torn territories, children are targeted deliberately and they are used as cannon fodders.
The United Nations have adopted a number of documents on that regard. 27-34 provisions of the Geneva Convention of 1949, envisage the protection of children’s rights. Additionally, the UN Convention of the Rights of Children protects children’s rights as well and prohibits any kind of violence, torture against them.
Notably, 196 UN member countries, excluding Armenia have not signed this convention.
The Armenian Armed Forces killed 63 children during the Khojaly Genocide only and this policy is still continuing.
